Bye Week A Welcome Respite

October 31, 2008

The San Diego Chargers are thankful for their bye week this week and using it to rest and make some changes.  One of the biggest changes was making Ron Rivera the new defensive coordinator. Coach Norv Turner spelled out his plan for this week, saying, “The biggest thing I wanted to get done this week, we’ve been on the road four of the last five weeks, obviously the last 10 days was a hard trip for our guys. I’m trying to get our guys fresh, trying to get them back healthy and trying to get our energy level back up. Then next week we’ll really zero in and start working hard on Kansas City, working hard on the things we need to get better at.”

Despite their record, the Chargers are ranked third for the amount of offensive points scored, but their defense has struggled to keep the opponent from notching just as many if not more points. Also, the Chargers are 17-2 at home since 2006, and many of their upcoming games are home games. The Chargers need any bit of advantage they can get to win their division and to end with a winning record. Get your San Diego Chargers tickets from StubHub.com.
