Chargers fans may have trouble with those express buses

July 22, 2008

According to the Union-Tribune, Chargers fans better have some alternative travel plans in the future when they attend games. For a long while, they could ride express buses provided by city services. But a new federal law coming into effect will define those buses as charters. Federal law prohibits federal fund recipients from running charters, says a transportation authority spokesman in the article.

That means the 75 to 80 buses that are often used to transport thousands of Chargers fans to the Q won’t be there. This will definitely make things a little difficult, but with some planning, every fan should be able to see the game and have fun.
