Just in Case You Missed It

In case you haven’t heard just yet, the NFL is going to be playing a game in England again this year.  And in case you didn’t know, the San Diego Chargers will be playing the New Orleans Saints in that game.  I thought I had covered every angle on this game.  To be honest, last year’s game was so egregiously unwatchable that I’ve had trouble getting excited enough about this game, even with the Chargers competing overseas.  However, this article has brought a new angle to my attention.  The game next season at Wembley Stadium will feature two running backs from San Diego.

While LT is a Texas boy at heart, he has certainly warmed to the city of San Diego, and the city obviously loves him for everything he does for the city - both on and off the field.  However, the Saints feature a back who actually made his name right in SD.  Reggie Bush is a native.  He cut his teeth beating up on local high school defenses before matriculating at the University of Southern California.  He and LT are close, as they have shared workouts and the like.  LT has been a bit like a mentor to Reggie.  They will square off in Wembley soon enough.  Now I’m excited.
