San Diego Chargers vs. Cleveland Browns

October 31, 2006

San Diego Chargers Tickets for this weekend’s game against the Cleveland Browns are in high demand. Especially after the Chargers defeated the St. Louis Rams this past weekend by a score of 38-24. Fans looking to get their hands on San Diego Chargers tickets for this weekend’s game against the Browns can expect to pay anywhere from $65 to $20,100.

The star of the game was, no doubt, Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson. The supercharged RB rushed for 183 yards and two touchdowns and caught three passes for 57 yards to pave the way for the Chargers’ victory. For all those who had thought that there was something wrong with Tomlinson, he put such thoughts to rest with this weekend’s season-high numbers.

The Chargers defense also helped win the day, although controversy now surrounds Charger linebacker Shawne Merriman who tested positive for steroids. Although Merriman originally filed an appeal, he has since changed his mind and will serve a 4-game suspension.

What’s the hubbub on San Diego Chargers Tickets?

October 25, 2006

San Diego Charges Tickets have become hot product this season. Despite their loss last weekend at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs, the Chargers hold strong at a record of 4-2 and welcome the St. Louis Rams this weekend in a game to be played at 1:05 p.m. One of the things that makes this game especially enticing is that Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson is poised to join the 8,000-club. Tomlinson has rushed for a career 7,834 yards in 85 games so far. Only seven players in history have hit the 8,000 yard mark in fewer than 90 games. With Tomlinson set to join the ranks of the elite and the Chargers putting up notches in the win-column, what’s going on with Chargers tickets?

Fans can expect to pay anywhere from $98 to $1,200 to get a seat at this weekend’s game against the St. Louis Rams. The Cleveland Browns then come to San Diego on November 5 and tickets are going for anywhere from $58 to $20,100! The Chargers will then be away until welcoming the Oakland Raiders on November 26. Tickets for that game are selling for anywhere from $69 to $1,434.

The hot gossip for the Chargers right now surrounds the suspension of Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman for the use of illegal steroidsKeep your eyes posted on the Chargers blog at Stubhub for all the latest news and opportunities to purchase Chargers tickets.

We’re Not in Kansas Anymore

October 24, 2006

Good thing too. Especially since the San Diego Chargers fell to the Kansas City Chiefs 30-27 this past weekend. What makes the loss so painful is not that it is a loss. But that it was a loss to the chiefs.

The Mercury News broke the news to its readership as lightly as possible. “Don’t ask Kansas City Chiefs coach Herm Edwards to explain how his team managed to beat one of the AFC’s top teams one week after one of the most lopsided losses in franchise history.”

In the end, it came down the final six seconds of the game when Kansas City kicker Lawrence Tynes nailed a 53-yard field goal to win it for the Chiefs. Philip Rivers completed 25-of-43 passes for 266 yards but the Chiefs still managed to break the Chargers 2-game win streak.

Why couldn’t the Chargers pull through for the victory? To put it simply, the Chiefs were ready and shut down the Chargers’ vaunted screen passes. As evidence, the Chargers had three turnovers in the first inning.

The Chargers return home this weekend to take on the St. Louis Rams. Fans looking to get their hands on San Diego Chargers Tickets can expect to pay anywhere between $90 and $1,213.

San Diego Chargers vs. Kansas City Chiefs

October 21, 2006

The Seattle Post Intelligencer had an amusing blurb the other day about Kansas City and their 2-3 Chiefs. Apparently, Kansas City is better equipped to handle a mass evacuation than any other city in the country. “If the San Diego Chargers prevail in their divisional matchup with the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, those findings could be put to the test.”

Expect heavy traffic leaving Kansas City tomorrow evening.

Chargers on the run

The San Diego Chargers proved last weekend why they are one of the best offenses in the NFL while the Kansas City Chiefs showed that they are still struggling to find themselves. The Chargers amassed 421 total yards last weekend while the Chiefs lost 45-7 at Pittsburgh.

Marty Schottenheimer put to sleep this past week the growing concern that San Diego’s running game has been less than dominant. When asked what he planned to do, Schottenheimer stated, “We’re just going to keep throwing it.”

So while this weekend may be a delightful reunion for Schottenheimer and Kansas City Coach Herm Edwards, who have been friends since 1992, it will likely be the Chargers who go home happy.

San Diego Chargers vs. San Francisco 49ers: There is always room for improvement.

October 18, 2006

At least, that’s the attitude of San Diego Chargers Head Coach Marty Schottenheimer, who didn’t like his team average 2.9 yards per rush on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers. Otherwise, it’s hard to see what he could possibly complain about given that the Chargers amassed 421 yards of offense on way to a 48-19 win.

Perhaps the most exciting moment of the game, and one that still has the Chargers reeling, was when LaDainian Tomlinson had to leap more than 6 ½ into the air over one of his own teammates to gain one measly yard and score what would be his third of four touchdowns on the day.

“I’ve been here in this business a long time and I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it,” said coach Marty Schottenheimer after the play.

While Tomlinson spent most of Sunday’s game in the end zone, Chargers Quarterback Philip Rivers passed for a career-high 334 yards and two touchdowns. But even Rivers couldn’t get his mind off Tomlinson after the game. “It was pretty awesome.”

It couldn’t be said any better.

The San Diego Chargers take on the Kansas City Chiefs next. Fans looking to get their hands on San Diego Chargers Tickets should act fast to catch the Chargers try and keep the momentum going.
